Northwest Portland’s Deschutes Brewery in the Pearl District is holding its 2nd annual Chef’s Challenge this Monday, December 13, 2010 from 5:30pm – 10:00pm. The ever popular Iron Chef-style beer pairing competition will feature 7 chefs from some of Portland’s top restaurants. Chefs include Kurt Spak (Alba Osteria), Ben Dyer (Laurelhurst Market & Ate-Oh-Ate), Adam Higgs (Acadia), David Machad (Nel Centro & Vindalho), Jeff Usinowiza (Deschutes Brewery) and Graham Wilcox (Davis Street Tavern). These chefs will compete to prepare the best dish and beer pairing of the evening. The winner will be chosen by a panel of local celebrity judges, and there will also be a People’s Choice Award. Tickets to the event are $150 per ticket and will benefit Morrison Child and Family Services.
